Terms of Use
Effective date: 13 September 2026
These terms govern your use of Shopsafrik, operated from Delta State, Nigeria, at shopsafrik.com. By creating an account, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. Contact: support@shopsafrik.com.
Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 and authorised to act for any business you register. Provide accurate information, verify your email and keep your password and passkeys secure. You are responsible for activity by people you authorise and for promptly reporting unauthorised access. Account access may be restricted where information is false, security is at risk or these terms are breached.
Our service
Shopsafrik provides tools to create and publish business websites, manage products and orders, and connect payment services. Available features, limits and pricing depend on your plan. We do not guarantee sales, search rankings, uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every device. We may maintain, improve or change the service, with reasonable notice of material changes where practicable.
Your content and store
You retain ownership of your content and grant us permission to host, display, process and back it up as needed to provide the service. You must have the necessary rights to content you upload. You are responsible for product accuracy, stock, delivery, taxes, customer support, refunds and compliance with applicable law. Provide customers with clear contact details, delivery terms and return policies. Shopsafrik is not the seller of merchants’ products.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service for fraud, unlawful products, intellectual property infringement, harassment, malicious software, unauthorised access or activities that harm other users. Do not attempt to access another merchant’s private information, bypass plan limits or interfere with the platform. We may investigate abuse and restrict or remove unlawful or harmful content, consistent with applicable law.
Payments, fees and cancellation
Subscription prices and platform charges are shown before payment. Paystack processing charges may apply separately. Payment processing and settlement are subject to Paystack’s terms and eligibility requirements. Payment access is subject to successful verification; displaying a callback page alone does not confirm payment. You must not use test payment credentials for live sales.
Any renewal commitment must be disclosed before you agree. Cancelling renewal stops future renewal charges but does not automatically refund an already paid period. For duplicate charges, service problems or refund requests, contact support with the payment reference. We assess requests in accordance with the circumstances and applicable consumer law. Store purchase refunds are the merchant’s responsibility, with assistance from the payment provider where relevant.
Deactivation and suspension
You may deactivate your account through account security settings. This disables login and takes your owned websites offline, while retaining records as explained in the Privacy Policy. Fulfil outstanding orders and address customer obligations before deactivation. Deactivation does not cancel debts, erase completed transactions or remove legal responsibilities. Contact support about reactivation. We may suspend access for non-payment, abuse, security concerns or legal requirements and will provide notice where reasonable and lawful.
Responsibility and disputes
Each party remains responsible for its own conduct. To the extent permitted by law, Shopsafrik is not liable for indirect losses or losses caused by merchant conduct, third-party services or events beyond reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud. Contact support first so we can try to resolve concerns fairly. Nigerian law governs these terms, subject to mandatory rights and applicable court jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We will publish revised terms with an effective date and provide reasonable notice of material changes where practicable. If a change is unacceptable, you may stop using the service and contact support about your account and any outstanding commitments.
